As the Toronto International Film Festival looms large the local and international media, I thought it would be a good theme to use for this week's community post while at the same time promoting some of our recent postings.

Some of you may already have noticed that we've gained a movie producer amongst our membership, Michael Dragea. Recently, Michael posted his own introduction to the community and also introduced his first movie "It was you Charlie" which premiered at the Bell TIFF Lightbox Theatre on August 15th. You can find Michael's introduction to the movie at "A Producer among the Bloggers".

In the movie, Charlie, pictured below, struggles with life after a near fatal car accident and a serious breakup, but his life and outlook is changed drastically after meeting a free-spirited cabbie.

You can view a trailer of the movie at http://www.itwasyoucharlie.com/trailer/.

Michael is actually the nephew of another of our frequent bloggers, Charles, whom Michael credits with his early interest in movies, " The best part about my childhood was that my uncle would make it a point to take my sister and I to the movies pretty much every single Tuesday...  it wasn't until just now that I realized how much these moments of childhood joy really influenced my life."

If you've never been down to the Bell Lightbox Theatre, you can read about Charles experience on premiere night at http://www.kamazooie.com/profiles/blogs/premiere-night-what-an-expe....

Lastly, if you've ever thought about getting into the movie business, you consider Michael's posting "Film Making by Accident".

Thanks to both Michael and Charles on their interesting postings and we look forward to your real TIFF movie premiere and red carpet event in the future Michael ;-)

Cool Amanda. Congratulations to Michael and to the cast and crew of "It was you Charlie". Maybe I can make a late-in-life decision to pursue an acting career and be in your next movie :-D
