As I mentioned last week, I wanted to post some updated photos to chronicle the recording of Mileage 51's upcoming CD as well as provide some shots of the jam with my second band The Tundra. On Friday/Saturday Mileage 51 gathered at Roy's apartment aka studio to lay down some instrumentation and vocal call backs as we start to complete and refine songs bound for the CD. Roy has a great set up and with high powered computers and high end software can produce professional tracks.

We worked on two songs this week...laying down bass and lead guitar rhythm and leads. We had an absolute blast and are excited to be back in the studio after over a year of working together.

On Saturday after my 2-4 recording session, I went to Al Quoz to jam with The Tundra at 'The Mix' which is a jam/recording studio. It's a pretty cool place run by a Russian guy whose name I can't quite recall. I want to say Ivan or Igor but I don't think either is correct...but I digress.

As the rhythm guitarist Micheal was unavailable my good friend and Mileage 51 lead guitarist Doug Bernie sat in for the jam.

We played a few covers...very rough but have a listen below. Be forgiving as it is still early days. To be honest my vocals were a bit off but some days you have it, some days you don't.

There are audio files to the right of this page (I think) that you can access.

Anyway, I am only sharing for the Kamazooie community at this point. Thanks for taking the time to read/listen!

Cheers
