Toto was probably my favourite band in the 70s. Their debut album was massive and some of their hits (Hold the Line, Africa, Rosanna) still get played today. My memories of this band are largely rooted with my high school gang that included John Bernier, Tim Morin, Pat Payette, Randy Carroll, Larry Martel, Mario Lapierre, Paul Martel...most of us played hockey together (although I sat on the bench most of the time!)

We had a lot of great times, including one very memorable canoe trip down the Wakami/Groundhog rivers. Pat and Mario were in one canoe, Tim and John in the other and Boo and I in the other. We were the slowest canoe until the last set of rapids when we shot through and passed the others...one brief moment of canoe glory after 4 days of dragging ass!

Rather than choose the obvious track from their hits I chose St. George and the Dragon because its a fantastic song that never got the air time it deserved.
