Ok this is long overdue and is likely to be short. So apologies in advance. Earlier this year I had to travel to London on business for an array of media and conference work. I love going to London for any reason, including business. But as it turned out, my daughter Bianca was able to book time off and join me.

It worked out extremely well...although I was working for a number days while she was there, she had friends who lived in the city (school mates from our days in Germany and Switzerland) and got time to spend with them. That said I did extend my stay in London so we also had a few 'personal' days to see some of the sites.

What I love most about London is the way the city yields up so many architectural wonders and other sights and smells within a 2-3 hour walk. It is such a walkable city. And, despite its reputation, the food variety and quality is outstanding.

Bianca and I did a lot of walking and managed to have a decent meal or two. We went to a number of art galleries...something I don't typically do. The Tate Museum of modern art was astounding. We got to see several works from Salvador Dali (my favourite) and Picasso among others. We took in a show... Miss Saigon...London has a fantastic theatre scene and all the latest and greatest are playing. That and a LOT of laughs. It was a great visit to my favourite city on the planet. The only downside was that my wife El and my youngest daughter Sierra weren't there as well.

Anyway below are some of my favourite photos. If you haven't been, I highly recommend London as a vacation destination...there is so much to see and do.

Until next time, thanks for reading!

Excellent pictures Lorne. Your daughter Bianca makes the classic sights of London look so much better :-)
